Le Bron James is the new name in the star studded sky on NBA. Last season, he proved to be the strongest player in the league (save, perhaps, Mr Black Mamba Kobe Bryant). Being voted the MVP of the regular season, he, unfortunately, had to yield to Orlando Magic in the eastern conference finals. King James, as he prefers to be called has always been a phenomenon. This young man, in his teenage years was Mr. Basketball at school for three years successively.
But like many of his contemporaries, the current king of NBA also has his body covered with tattoos.
The first tattoo he got was that of a crowned lion on his right arm – this was when he was just in high school. He has modified the tattoo since he was crowned the King of Basketball with King above the tattoo and James below it, thus having the lion represent him. Another tattoo saying Gloria, dedicated to his mother has been added recently, just upon the crowned lion one.
His left arm is equally illustrious with two tattoos – the first one, on the shoulder, reads ‘Beast’ and is surrounded by stars, while the second one says ‘Hold my own’. A large tattoo is dedicated to his one year old son – it is a large realistic portrait of the child. And his second son, Bryce Maximus, has been immortalized on his left forearm. Also, in 2006, Le Bron got a large tattoo on his leg saying ‘Witness’ and a hefty ‘330’ on his right forearm which is the area code for his home town, Akron.
The best one of his collection of tattoos is definitely his initials written in stylized calligraphy on his triceps. Another favourite is a sort of winged lion on his chest. The most recent of his tattoos is probably a stylized handwriting lettering of the word ‘Family’. Also, on the inside of his right arm, he also got the sentence “No one can see through what I am except for the one that made me” tattooed. But, his most popular tattoo is the one on his back – it says ‘Chosen1’. The inspiration for this tattoo was Sports Illustrated which addressed him as Chosen because he was still in high school.
Lebron James is one of the strongest players of the era in Basketball. While he hasn’t won an NBA final yet, I’m certain it won’t take him much time. Also, his tattoo designs are frankly very good!
